Ninh Binh Province, in cooperation with Vietnam Railways Corporation, is developing a high-end tourist train experience on the Hanoi–Ninh Binh route. The project aims to offer international and domestic travelers a more comfortable and immersive way to travel between two of northern Vietnam’s most fascinating destinations.

Rather than simply getting from one place to another, the journey is designed to become part of the holiday itself.

The proposed tourist train is expected to feature 14 carriages, including premium passenger coaches and dining carriages. With a focus on comfort, quality service, cuisine, and relaxing spaces, the train is being developed as an experience where travelers can start discovering Vietnam the moment they leave Hanoi.

The service is still under research and development, with the long-term goal of providing regular daily services in both directions, giving travelers greater flexibility when planning their Vietnam itinerary.

Tourism revenue during the period reached nearly VND 22 trillion, while total visitor numbers grew by approximately 25.5% and international arrivals increased by about 51.7% compared with the same period in 2025.

The growing number of visitors is creating demand for new tourism experiences that offer greater comfort, convenience, and opportunities to discover the destination in different ways.
